We want to ensure that your data and transactions with us are optimally protected. That's why we offer you the option of setting up multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your account in the Adyen customer area. MFA ensures that only authorized users can access your account, even if your password has been compromised.

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Log in to Adyen.com with your credentials in the Adyen customer area.

2. Click on your username in the bottom left corner of the screen to open the drop-down menu.

3. Select the "My profile" option from the drop-down menu

4. On the "My Profile" page, scroll down until you reach the "Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)" section.

5. Click on "Add authentication" to start the setup process.

6. Select the "SMS" option as the authentication method.

7. Enter your phone number and verify it to make sure it is correct and linked to your account.

8. Once you have verified your phone number, you will receive an SMS code on your cell phone. Enter this code on the website to complete the verification.

9. After successfully entering the code, multi-factor authentication (MFA) with SMS code is set up for your Adyen account.

Please note

  • Make sure you have access to the mobile device that is connected to your phone number to receive the SMS code.

  • If a number used for the authentication method needs to be changed, e.g. if you have a new cell phone, you must change the number before you no longer have access to the old number. Otherwise you will not be able to authenticate yourself the next time you log in.

  • If you have any questions or problems with setting up the MFA, our support staff will be happy to help.
