In your Paymash admin area, you have a Products menu where all your products and their super-groups and variants are visible. You can make various adjustments to your products at any time; however, there are a few functionalities regarding self-ordering that are important for you to know.

1. Display products on your digital menu

To get to the window where you can make adjustments, first click on the product and then on the Edit product field, next to which you will see a pencil icon.

Now go to the section entitled Properties. There you will find, among other things, a checkbox labeled Show this product on the self-service page. You will notice that this is already activated by default for all products, which means that all your products are already on your digital menu to begin with. If you don't want specific products to be available for purchase in this way, simply turn this option off.

2. Offer products for take-away

You can charge a reduced VAT rate for goods purchased via a delivery service or takeaway. Paymash recognizes when your customer orders take-away products via self-ordering and automatically adjusts the VAT rate accordingly.

For this to be possible at all, you will need to activate the reduced VAT rate in your account settings in the admin area. You will find this in the Company submenu, in the VAT section, in the same place where you have probably already created your standard VAT rates.

After you have activated the checkbox with the address Take away VAT rate, a new column will appear in the list of your VAT rates. Now add the takeaway VAT rate using the blue plus symbol and then click on the button next to it in the Takeaway column.

Now return to your product settings as described in the first step of this article. For those products that you want your customers to have the option of buying to take away, you still need to activate the take-away VAT rate you created earlier.

Make sure that Yes is selected in the “Reduced take-away tax rate” field in the “Details” section. From here, Paymash will do the rest and you're ready to offer your customers a smooth takeaway experience.
