A new feature is now available in the Paymash app v.2.10.0: Tap to Pay for Android!
From now on you can accept contactless payments directly via your Android device - without any additional card reader. Simple, secure and fast.
What is Tap to Pay?
Tap to Pay allows you to receive contactless payments from credit and debit cards, smartphones and wearables directly via your Android device. The function uses your smartphone's NFC technology - a separate card reader is no longer required.
Requirements
If you want to use Tap to Pay, please note the following:
An Android smartphone with NFC (Android 12 or higher).
The latest version of the Paymash app (from 2.10.0).
An active merchant account with our partner Adyen.
Internet connection (WLAN or mobile).
Your Android smartphone must be password-protected.
Let us know that you would like to start using Tap To Pay - we will make sure that the corresponding settings of your account are activated and you are ready to go.
This is how the payment works:
Open the Paymash app on your Android device and navigate to Settings -> Terminals.
Click on “Tap to Pay”.
You will get a message that the Adyen application should be installed.
Click on “Install ‘Payments’ app” to be redirected to the Google Play Market.
Once the new app is installed, return to Paymash and click "Tap to Pay" again and follow the on-screen instructions to set it up.
Done! You can now receive contactless payments.
Add products to your shopping cart as usual, continue to the checkout and select the payment method "PaymashPay".
The amount is displayed directly on your Android smartphone and a customer should hold his/her card (smartphone or smartwatch) to the back of your device.
